This area takes pride in its 350 years or more history although it reflects a modern community. It is famous for being the birthplace of Samuel Wilson where the name "Uncle Sam" originated from and the first Public Children's Library. Convenient buses provide access to Harvard and Boston. The academic levels of kindergarten and elementary school are high. This quiet residential town with good recreation facilities is good for families.
Brookline, the birthplace of the 35th president, John F Kennedy, is a unique area with urban and suburban features. Neighboring Boston, providing a good transportation by accessing T Green line this town is popular among the family with the children for superior public school with long tradition. This town places importance on living environments such as, preservation of historical buildings and maintaining green spaces.
     
     
Located in the north part of Boston, Cambridge is a college town where world- famous educational institutions such as Harvard and MIT, students, professors and researchers reside. Transportation is very convenient through the Subway T- Red line and bus schedules. Restaurants, boutiques, and a concentration of bookstores surround Harvard Square, in the center of town. A small Japanese community with restaurants, a grocery market, and bookstores exists in the Porter Square area. However, the areas to the south and north part of Central are not always safe.
